The Blade That Slashes Progressives!

Friday, June 21, 2002
A well deserved rest!

Well, I am off for one week for some backpacking and fishing in Wyoming high country.

But make no doubt about it, I will be back in one week to slash progressives with the blade of truth, impail them with the spear of intelect, bludgeon them with the flail of witt and cap them with the .45 of wisdom.

Till then, best wishes to all!

Utopia Again

I am sure many of you have heard the phrase “Imagine a better tomorrow”

Always it seems to come back to utopia. I'll say it again: Belief in the perfectibility of human nature and human systems is one of the core beliefs of modern liberals. It is why modern liberal ideology is so deeply flawed, so disconnected from the wisdom of our forebears, and why it will become increasingly ineffective, counterproductive, or destructive. It cannot be otherwise. The modern Leftist compares flesh and blood to abstract concepts and is chronically frustrated that flesh and blood never measures up, and thus forever deconstructs a relatively healthy society in pursuit of these abstract concepts, in pursuit of 'heaven on earth.' He believes that society is the source of all a person's ills, that if he could perfect society he could thus solve all an individual's problems. The New Leftist ultimately comes to hate society because he cannot fix it. Solve one problem and another always seems to crop up. Eventually, the New Leftist comes to hate the 'the people,' the individual, because he cannot change them on a fundamental level, on a level that allows for his vision of acceptable society. Ultimately people are the source of the problems, and thus the utopian Leftist comes to the position that heaven is possible only if he can get everybody to think like him, to believe as he does, and in pursuit of this goal he goes too far and ends up becoming what he opposed. The collectivist becomes the tyrant. The socialist becomes the fascist. The racial advocate becomes the racist. The feminist becomes the sexist. The underlying psychological dynamic is as old as the hills, but the New Leftist is blind to it because he believes that his quest for the collective good has imbued him with a special moral fiber that gives him blessed license to pursue his goals, to wit.

(Thanks to recovering leftist Robert E., AKA: Marx the Economist, for the above paragraph)

Broadly speaking, in our society, there are two types of people. One is the person who believes in God and in an afterlife. He is prepared to accept that human nature is very fallible and that life on earth is very, very imperfect and likely to remain so indefinitely and that there is something better to come. That is a reasonably rational approach to things; imperfect creatures construct imperfect systems.

Then there is the other type like the hard core anarcho-marxist Chomsky type, who says, "I don't believe in God. I don't believe in an afterlife. It's all nonsense. This life is the only one we've got, and we have to try and improve it, and I don't accept that human nature is permanently imperfect. It can be perfected." And of course once you conceive that a utopia is possible, you create within yourself a very, very powerful drive to bring it about, and that is how one gets to totalitarianism. You create a race of people who say, "Yes, we can improve human nature, we can perfect human society, and we must do it; and, if possible, within our own lifetime, and anything that stands in the way must be brushed aside."

They also realize that there is going to be an element that will oppose this ‘utopia’ and that this subversive roadblock to utopia must me removed to bring about utopia. This is why we get the Killing Fields, the Great Leap Forewords, the Ukrainian Famine, and other associated purges.

Now, when you come to look at society, you find in a free society, where people are left, on the whole, to do things for themselves, many, many, imperfections and many evils. Therefore, such people who believe in utopia, who have no God, who believe in the perfectibility of mankind, they say, "We can't allow people to run things for themselves because they make a mess of it. Let's have the state do it." This is why every Communist country in history has been officially atheist. And this is why the dreams and fantasies of the left are a delusion and lead to genocide.

Well, not that it is all that important, but it seems as if the thugs are at it again. First they spam me with viruses, apparently not knowing that hotmail has a firewall that their third grade hacking skills could not break, and now this. .

They are such pathetic losers, it brings a smile to my face every time they communicate. It is always amusing to see a desperate attempt at satire/smear, but this is more pathetic than anything. Amazing that my tax dollars are going to support these no nothing lazy fucks.

Oh well. What's a man to do?

More on Jose Bove

When I first heard of this schmuck a year or so back, I figured he was just a French farmer turned activist upset by a 100% tarrif on Roquefort (ugh) cheese. Seems as if there is even more to the story than what I posted the other day.

Have a listen friends. (Taken from the Gaurdian UK, Le Monde, and Time Magazine)

Although Bove claims to be a "family farmer", how he finds the time to "farm" with all his international travel and activism is beyond any reasonable person's comprehension. He grew up in Berkeley (there's a fucking shock), California where his scientist parents were 'studying' at the University of California for seven years during the Sixties. Not exactly a family farm history.

In 1968, Bové moved back to France and at the age of 19 started his career as a professional activist protesting against the French military. According to Time Magazine (December 6, 1999), Bové refused to perform his military service and dropped out of university to immerse himself in various leftist political and ecological movements. In 1975, Bové moved to Larzac, France with a group of like-minded activists as part of the French "Flower Power" movement to start a farming commune.

In August 1995, he joined Greenpeace on the Rainbow Warrior to protest nuclear trials. I find this particularly interesting becasue of Greenpeace's long and well documented ties with the former Soviet Union.

Among the oddest side shows in the current Middle East impasse was the short-lived visit of Bove in the Ramallah compound of besieged Palestinian Authority President Yasir Arafat. Arrested outside the compound by the Israeli Defense Force on April 2, Bove was deported to Paris the next day.

His recent trip to Ramallah was not Bove's first visit to the West Bank. A June 21, 2001, story in The Independent describes an earlier confrontation between the Israelis and Bove's international activist colleagues, led by Canadian-Israeli Neta Golan, in Al-Khader, a Palestinian village on the southern edge of Bethlehem. Golan is currently holed up with Arafat in Ramallah.

It started peacefully enough. Mr Bove was greeted by the local Israeli police commander, Ephriam Arditi, plus around 60 police and soldiers. Surrounded by cameras, the Frenchman put his case. What were the Israelis doing defending land that was not theirs? If it was -- as the police claim -- a closed military area, then why were settlers allowed access to it? Did they not realise this was a crime?

"I'm a farmer, and these (Palestinian) people are farmers too. So I am fighting with them to help them protect their land," Mr Bove told the watching media. With Mr Arditi caught in the middle of the crowd, the soldiers started elbowing reporters out of the way, and the shoving began. Minutes later one of the activists was arrested and dragged away. "No violence! No violence!" chanted Mr Bove and his friends. A group of Palestinians nearby took up chanting but maybe misheard the French accent as they shouted: "No peace! No peace!"

Bove and seven others were arrested at the 2001 protest. When asked to explain why he had gone to the West Bank, Bove later gave the New Left Review this bizarre reply: The Israelis are "putting in place, with the support of the World Bank, a series of neoliberal measures intended to integrate the Middle East into globalized production circuits, through the exploitation of cheap Palestinian labour."

But don't blame Bove for pointing fingers at the World Bank and international capital as the source of the ongoing conflict. Developing a real understanding of the history and politics of the Middle East and a feeling response to terrorism may well be too much for the man.

Bove has become, in recent years, a surprisingly ubiquitous international figure, turning up at Zapatista marches in Mexico and a 'solidarity march' in Lima Peru for the Shining Path.

Bove considers himself an anarcho-syndicalist, according to a New Left Review interview.

All this begs one, of many, question: where the hell is he getting all this money from for his anti-capitalist globe trotting?

Wednesday, June 19, 2002

You all know this dingus don’t you? Its Jose Bove, the French anti-globalist on his way to jail. In typical French pomp and circumstance, he does it by riding a tractor to jail.

Bove is an activist and promoter of violence who poses as a French farmer. His most recent caper involved the destruction of a field trial of biotechnology-improved rice at a test laboratory near Montpellier, in southern France. He had previously been found guilty of the demolition of a half-built McDonalds in Millau. He deserves to serve his time.

During his trial he threatened that a guilty verdict would bring even more violence. 'It would astonish me greatly if the judge dares to order us to be arrested after the trial,' he said. 'If so, the state would be making a great mistake, triggering an unprecedented situation…'"

Arrested for 'invading' a French army base during a 1976 protest, Bove spent three weeks in prison. Following his prison time, Bove attended a 'direct action' training camp in Libya sponsored by dictator Muammar Quadafi.

In 1995, Bove led protests in France destroying property and attacking French government offices smashing windows, setting fires and charging local police office gates with tractors.

In 1997, Bove began mounting his protests against biotechnology crops. Since that time he has been implicated in the destruction of a Novartis seed production facility and the greenhouses of a public research center. Bove and his group are also credited with hijacking shipments of biotechnology-grown corn.

Bove is now the darling of the organic and anti-biotechnology movement. In Seattle he was hosted by Ralph Nader's organization at a rally, conveniently held in front of a local McDonalds. The McDonalds was, of course, vandalized. Bove has also been the guest of anti-technology, organic farming advocate Mark Ritchie and his IATP group. During the WTO meeting in Seattle, a US farm group sent Nader a letter asking that he disavow the violence started by Bove and cease sponsoring street rallies in front of such targets as McDonalds. (Nader never responded.) Bove supports government control of agriculture, high subsidies and tariff barriers to protect his form of agriculture and has called for the creation of an independent world court protect this system.

The effect of his campaigns has been to delay the development of genetically improved crop varieties. This has mildly inconvenienced his rich French friends but already condemned many people in the developing world to hunger and death. If he is allowed to continue with his antics many people will die of malnutrition-related diseases who would otherwise have lived reasonable lives.

Last nite I just finished " The Mystery of Capital ", by Hernando De Soto. It is by far one of the best books I have ever read about why capitalism works and more importantly how to make it work

The basis of capitalism, of course, is capital, and the basis of capital as an economic tool is rational property law. Without a complex system to delineate and protect rightful ownership, capital is "dead" -- it can't be used as collateral for a mortgage, it's not attractive as an enticement to investors. Its potential as a wellspring for further production can't be tapped, because owners, lenders and investors have no certainty of ownership beyond the moment.

De Soto's team documented the existence of trillions of dollars in "dead capital" in the economically blighted areas of the globe -- assets far in excess of every World Bank loan, foreign aid package and foreign investment portfolio combined. What the "poor" countries lack, they concluded, is not the assets necessary to economic success, but the framework in which those assets can be rightfully called capital.

The problem isn't lack of government. The people of the Third World have government coming out of their ears. It's just that, while they've adopted the trappings of western governance (i.e. the bureaucracy and the paperwork), they've attached meaning and substance to the trappings rather than building structures which fulfill the needs of a market economy.

In 1986, he had readied a book on these themes, provisionally titled "The Other Path." It was a slap at the Shining Path, the Marxist guerrilla group then terrorizing the country. As the publication date approached, De Soto began to have second thoughts about that title. If he went ahead with it, he thought, "they [the Maoists] were going to kill me”. Instead of dropping the title, he got a bulletproof car and learned how to use a gun.

I just love this!

The Nation Magazine has an article titled "Attack of the Homocons". It appears that Richard Goldstein is a shade tiffed that some gays would have the audacity not to be raving left wing, bleeding heart, tampon stuffers.

I guess what really upsets people like Richard Goldstein is that they see a slow crumbling of their core power base, and it scares the shit out of them. A gay conservative intellectual like Andrew Sullivan is Goldsteins epitome of an oxy-moron.

Well get used to it Mr. Goldstein, as more and more people begin to wake up to reality, the appeal that your brand of politics once had is going to turn real sour.

IDF Kills Palestinian Militant

Israeli soldiers shot and killed Walid Sbeh, a prominent figure in a Palestinian militia in the Bethlehem area, witnesses and the Israeli military said Monday.

Palestinians said Sbeh was killed Monday in his car in El Khader, near Bethlehem, as he was leaving the village. A sniper team opened fire from an army base on a nearby hill and killed Sbeh from at roughly 300 yards.

Sbeh was an activist in the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a militia affiliated with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement.

The Palestinians are calling it an execution.

I am calling it one damn fine shot. Come on, a moving target at 300+ yards........what the hell else could you call it?

The (not so) Odd Couple?

Why is there such a love fest between the left and the Palestinian movement? Most of these groups talk a good game about pacifism and non violence, but their heroes certainly leave something to be desired. It comes as no surprise to me that 'peace loving' groups like the International Action Committee , led by that crypto-Marxist piece of shit Ramsey Clark would support ultra violent organizations like the FARC, Tupac Ammaru, and the FLN, but the Palestinians?

I think back to the anti-war march in Washington D.C. back in late April. I heard speakers ranging from the Bay Area Lesbian Avengers, to friends of Mumia (cop killing Marxist extrordinaire), and Friends of Leonard Peltier all proclaiming the same battle cry:

"Today, we are all Palestinians"

What the fuck is that supposed to mean anyway?

Oh wait, I remember now. The Palestinians were one of the groups who celebrated the hardest during the wee hours after the Twin Towers went down. I guess the left saw some strong kinship that day.

The left's logic: Well, the Palestinians hate America becasue they support Israel, and I hate America, well honestly I don't know exactly why but I think it's because I am such a pussy, so mabey we can work together. After all the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Mabey I can even use daddy's platinum card to purchase some Semtex for my new Palestinian friends.

Or to quotes some of the days more 'notable' speakers:

"Every time one of our heroes kills a Zionist pig, it feels as if the weight of 1000 stones comes off our chests"

Stones? Oh, you mean like the stones you use to kill those who disagree with you or the stones you use to crush those who break a 9th century code of conduct on the etiquette of sheep shearing?

Truly an enlightened world view!

Final Thoughts Before the Weekend

You know, I speak with many people about current events and politics and they always notice one thing, my anti-leftist rants. Some of them ask, and rightfully so, "Mike, don't you think you are being a little paranoid ... considering what happened on 9/11, there is no way that the left could twist this nation like they did in the 60's".

What they do not understand about the Noam Chomskys, Mike Malloys, and Jello Biafras of the world is their favorite MO is to take the moral high ground, and it always falls on sympathetic ears. No matter what the issue, they can always use populist rhetoric, class warfare and misrepresentations to draw people away from the truth.

One thing we cannot allow is for the hard core left to take over this debate and frame it in their terms. Words like 'racism', 'imperialism', 'pacifism', and, my favorite, 'social justice' can be very powerful motivators and are very seductive.

We cannot allow them to take the moral high ground.

Its like the whack a mole game. Every time they come out for a protest, every time they write a book, every time one of these schmucks has a 'teach in', we need to be always vigilant and put their lies to bed.

Here is a good article on why David Horowitz feels the same way.

Ronald Radosh also wrote a very good book about what drove these people when he cavorted with them, and how little they have changed in 60 years.

Malloy Update

I sent Malloy a copy of chapter 3 of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act and 8 U.S. Code 1481, Section 149 and stated that it was pretty laim for him to defend Padilla's constitutional rights as a US citizen, when he is clearly no longer a US citizen.

Here is what he responded with:

Kindly piss off. Send this right-wing horseshit back to Rush - where you got it to begin with.

Do NOT write to me again.
--- I America

What a prick, but at least he did not have the balls to defend an indefensible position.

Thursday, June 13, 2002
I was listening to that Marxist prick, Mike Malloy, today and the little pussy actually had the nerve to defend Jose Padilla. Not that this would be a first for Malloy as he has on numerous occasions stuck up for Taliban Johnny Walker and other left wing terrorist. He was quoting from a WSWS (World Socialist Web Site)'news story' , about the 'coming fascism' to the US. He parroted the World Socialist's Genocide Web Site's belief that this decision to try this little SOB 'a chilling legal precedent' and that we 'cannot treat a US citizen like this' (unless of course his politics are to the right of Phil Donahue).

Padill a US citizen? Not according to US law

Chapter 3 of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act and 8 U.S. Code 1481, Section 149:

(1) U.S. citizenship is renounced by making a formal renunciation of nationality before a diplomatic or consular official of the U.S. in a foreign country.

(2) In case the U.S. should be in a state of war, by making in the U.S. a formal written renunciation of nationality in such form to be presented to an officer designated by the U.S. Attorney General, who shall approve such renunciation as long as it is not contrary to the interests of national defense.

In addition to the above, U.S. citizenship is lost by:

(1) Attaining naturalization in a foreign country upon a person's application, or upon application filed by a duly authorized agent, after having attained the age of 18 years old.

(2) Entering or serving in the armed forces of a foreign nation after having attained the age of 18 years old.

(3) Taking an oath or making an affirmation or other formal declaration of allegiance to a foreign nation after having attained the age of 18 years old.

(4) Committing an act of treason against or attempting by force to overthrow, or bearing arms against the U.S

Seems pretty clear what side Paddila chose. I also think the same could be said for Malloy.

And what the hell is up with Jimmy Carter going to Venezuela to meet with Chavez? Has he ever met a third world despot that he is not in love with?

If you have the time, this piece deals with Carter's love affair with the PA and Arafat.

I read an interesting piece in the Gaurdian(UK) by some dildo named Paul Foot titled Cash For Chaos. It is basicaly the same shit that we have been hearing from the left ever since the days of Marx and Engles.

"Is capitalism sick? Yes, disgustingly so. Its sickness is terminal, and it urgently needs replacing."

By what, pray tell?

"Under capitalism the gulf between rich and poor grows wider and wider. The whole point of the system is that it works against equality, against co-operation. It stunts, insults and criminalises the poor; glorifies, cossets and pardons the rich. All human life is corrupted in the process. So even if you could discipline all the offenders, lock up all financial advisers to the US president, ban from public life all former Tory vice-chairmen, even if company directors spent a year in jail for every bonus they steal, there would still be no hiding place from capitalism. The rotten apples are the barrel."

And here we get to Foot's beef, capitalism=bad, socialism=good.

Socialism is the Big Lie of the twentieth century. While it promised prosperity, equality, and security, it delivered poverty, misery, and tyranny. Equality was achieved only in the sense that everyone was equal in his or her misery.

In the same way that a Ponzi scheme or chain letter initially succeeds but eventually collapses, socialism may show early signs of success. But any accomplishments quickly fade as the fundamental deficiencies of central planning emerge. It is the initial illusion of success that gives government intervention its pernicious, seductive appeal. In the long run, socialism has always proven to be a formula for tyranny and misery.

A pyramid scheme is ultimately unsustainable because it is based on faulty principles. Likewise, collectivism is unsustainable in the long run because it is a flawed theory. Socialism does not work because it is not consistent with fundamental principles of human behavior. The failure of socialism in countries around the world can be traced to one critical defect: it is a system that ignores incentives.

The devoted leftist may admit that many "socialist" countries around the world are failing. However, according to him, the reason for failure is not that socialism is deficient, but that the socialist economies are not practicing "pure" socialism. The perfect version of socialism would work; it is just the imperfect socialism that doesn't work. Marxists like to compare a theoretically perfect version of socialism with practical, imperfect capitalism which allows them to claim that socialism is superior to capitalism.

If perfection really were an available option, the choice of economic and political systems would be irrelevant. In a world with perfect beings and infinite abundance, any economic or political system--socialism, capitalism, fascism, or communism--would work perfectly. But we obviously do not live in a world of perfect human biengs, as is so eloquently demonstrated by Paul Foot-in-mouth.

But to quote notable:

"I am not a dictator. Those who call me one do not understand the principles of Socialism!" Joesph Stalin, hero to progressives, college professors and junkies the world round.

There is alot of hype and misinformation durrounding global warming these days, but one of the most disturbing statement about global warming and Kyoto comes from Canada's Environment Minister Christine Stewart.

Ms. Stewart said that, "as minister of the environment, I am very worried about global warming," which for a politician isn't saying much. Politicians are habitually 'very worried' about one thing or another. The trouble starts when they use their power to fix problems they're worried about, even if the problems don't exist. Ms. Stewart said she's prepared to do exactly that. "No matter if the science is all phony, there are collateral environmental benefits."

In another statement quoted by the Financial Post (Canada), Ms. Stewart gave another reason for adopting the religion of global warming:

"Climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world."

Here she gets closer to the core motivation of some of the leading global warming activists. Where socialism's attempt at a global redistribution of wealth ended in economic catastrophe, global warming is being wheeled in as the next new economic crusade.

"A multi-pollutant strategy would help realize the objective of many greens". As the late Aaron Wildavsky, professor of political science at the University of California at Berkeley, wrote, "Warming (and warming alone), through its primary antidote of withdrawing carbon from production and consumption, is capable of realizing the environmentalist's dream of an egalitarian society based on the rejection of economic growth in favor of a smaller population's eating lower on the food chain, consuming a lot less, and sharing a much lower level of resources much more equally."

Even though those who favor drastic steps to curb greenhouse gas emmisions have many holes in the theory, holes I might add that have never been explained or even confronted, they still charge ahead.

Which makes me ask the question: why are they so silent in reponse to their critics?

Do they truly believe the hype, or does their agenda have very little to do with the environment.

Andrew Stuttaford

There's been electoral success in Europe this week for a party linked with the continent's totalitarian past. These days that might not be so surprising. What is surprising is how little response there has been. If there have been anguished editorials in the international press, I haven't read them, if EU officials have issued dire warnings, I haven't heard them.

The elections in question were local elections in Italy in which a supposedly centrist coalition won control of eight out of ten major cities. This coalition included the so-called 'Fascist Refoundation' , a party that broke with the original Fascists when they transformed themselves into a moderate, fully democratic party.

Oh, I'm sorry. I got that wrong. The party that did so well was not the 'Fascist Refoundation' . It was the 'Communist Refoundation'. I guess that's all right then.

Or at least that's what the European elites seem to think.

I kind of like this picture. Well not just 'kinda' but really like it.

It seems to sum up a great deal of my attitude towards the left these days.

The leftists ask what kind of war this is and why are we fighting it? Well I have one name, Daniel Pearl. If you have the stomach, I urge you watch the video of his execution.,

You watch this, keeping in mind that this is not a Hollywood light and magic studio production and that this is being used a recruiting tool by the ultra-fundamentalist sect. If this does not outrage you I do not know what will.

This video should be mandatory viewing for every single person on earth.

It shows the true nature of what we are up against. Their battle cry is not save the whales, or ban landmines, or stop global warming, or justice for El Salvador, or free fucking Mumia. They want to kill every man woman and child on earth who does not want to live in Dar el-Islam, kill them just like they did Daniel Pearl.

Realize that this evil (a term not to be used lightly but proper in this context) is a threat to everyone on earth. It is not just limited to New York and Washington. It is a threat to people in Sydney, Tokyo, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, London, and every free nation.

They will kill and subjugate forever. Left unchecked what happened in New Your and Washington on September 11th will become as common as Palestinian suicide bombings.

This is not just some ultra violent groups with limited support. They have won the hearts, minds and bodies of tens of millions of people. They do not want to talk with us, or negotiate their grievances.

Listen to the audio on that tape. Can anyone tell me they are motivated by legitimate grievances?

If that video has not shown you that we must do whatever we have to neutralize (kill) these threats to our freedom and our lives, then I suggest you go out to a tailor and get fitted for a burka or a turbine, because if left unchecked, that is going to become mandatory dress in a decade or so.

If history is any indication of future actions, then as long as the United States is in this fight then we will fight to the last. We will not stop until we have achieved a 100% unconditional victor over this blood thirsty, inhuman foe. Unlike many, when we Americans set a goal and put our minds to it, it gets done, and it seems as if the more insurmountable a task it is the better we do at it.

I for one am pretty God damn proud that the American people are keeping their eyes on the prize in this fight.

Left Wing Fundamentalist

I kind of like the term and I am amazed to read an article like this on Mother Jones , and by Todd Gitlin but that is another story. It sums up the attitudes and actions of the pious of pious, the righteous amongst righteous, tolerant of the tolerant (that is of course by THEIR bastardized definition of the term tolerant), and intellectuals who make up the Left Wing Fundamentalists (or LWF’s). There may not be many hard core marxist left in the US, but as Luna said their spirit lives on in their kinfolk. I think what they think can be broken down into three main areas.

Hatred of Capitalism

Let us be honest, whether it be the protestors in Seattle, or those who marched on New York during the WEC meetings, they all share a common theme: utter contempt for capitalism and the ‘free market’. They despise the ‘inequities’ of market driven economies. They believe that capitalism robs the masses of the fruits of their labors. They live under a false assumption that people could all be good and kind and live in peace and harmony but capitalism corrupts them into doing unspeakable things.

It is immoral to destabilize nations governments, or so they claim. Chile, Cuba, Vietnam were all atrocities designed to stabilize markets for US corporate interest and the US should not meddle in the affairs of sovereign nations. But they themselves have been at the helm of many attempts to destabilize governments when they either saw the opportunity to seize power, or when a more right wing regime came into power. The Spanish revolution comes to mind but there have been more recent incarnations of this trend. The election of right wing governments in Austria and Italy in more recent years comes to mind. The many revolutions spawned by the former USSR from Korea to Columbia have been openly embraced by many on the left as the ”people’s revolutions” where “the global inequities of capitalism will be destroyed” (the quotes taken from an excerpt from Ramsey Clarks International Action Committee).

Organizations like the FARC and Chiappas rebels are not held in high regard by the LWF’s because they are ‘freedom loving pacifist’, they are loved because they challenge main stream market based societies.

They see every geo-political decision taken by the US as nothing more than an attempt to secure our global dominance over the world. I would agree that the main aim of US foreign policy is to promote stability, but stability is good for everyone. No one trades, makes goods, grows food, provides services, goes to school, or makes money in an unstable nation. And there is one thing that leftist love and that is to create instability to seize power. This push for violent instability took place in Indonesia is taking place in Nepal and I believe is a very real issue and threat in Argentina.

But here is a quote from a well know eco-hero.

“Therefore two tasks confront those who hate the servitude to which the industrial system is reducing the human race. First, we must work to heighten the social stresses within the system so as to increase the likelihood that it will break down or be weakened sufficiently so that a revolution against it becomes possible. Second, it is necessary to develop and propagate an ideology that opposes technology and the industrial society if and when the system becomes sufficiently weakened. And such an ideology will help to assure that, if and when industrial society breaks down, its remnants will be smashed beyond repair, so that the system cannot be reconstituted. The factories should be destroyed, technical books burned, etc."

The mentality of Ted Kazinsky is very similar to that of many left wing fundamentalist. Take a normally stable society, destabilize it, say “I told ya so”, and pick up the pieces.

This hate of capitalism is linked to a hate of the US. The us is the dominant force in the global world by leaps and bounds. Since capitalism is hated so much, so too is its main player: the United States. Their philosophy can be parallel to the sometimes good sometimes bad policy of ‘realpolitik’ where the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

That is why many of the most extreme LWF’s feel a kinship with Bin Laden.

White vs. Non White.

This one is pretty straight forewords. White Europeans are responsible for the dominant socio/political/economic system of the world, a system they despise, and there fore are evil beyond reproach. They are therefore fair game for all the oppressed non-whites of the world. Crash a plane into one of their symbols of white patriarchal Judeo-Christian oppression, no problemo. After all, their years of oppression more than warrant this noble display of rage.
Ask a LWF what the difference between Iraqi sanctions and the sanctions against South Africa are. In Iraq it the same old story, white European Christians come and destroy a noble and proud culture. In RSA it was a case of the evil white European Christians oppressing the noble natives and sanctions, or any other mechanism to dethrone them is justifiable.

There are, today June 7, 2002, terrible injustices being perpetrated against white farmers and intellectuals in Zimbabwe, but where are the LWF’s. No protest outside the Zimbabwe embassy, no rallies in solidarity with the oppressed farmers, not even a benefit concert from Rage against the Machine, Bad Religion, or the Beast Boys.
A bit of a contradiction, wouldn’t you say? I guess they are too busy doing shows for cop killing, cab driving left wing radicals instead. Still it is a pity.

One stickler though, we in the west are not wealthy because they are poor. This planet is not an end sum game. Poor people rise out of poverty not by taking from those who have more, as LWF’s would say, but by creating their own wealth. Instead of fueling class warfare, here is a novel idea, encourage them to join the rest of the modern industrial world. Most developing nations are simple going through what we in the west went through 150 years ago. The journey from an impoverished third world agrarian economy to a post industrial society does not take place over night, nor does it occur without a great deal of social upheaval, but it can and has been done. Look at nations like Taiwan, South Korea, and Hong Kong for some examples of how to make this transition rapidly and in a less painful manner.

I know many are going to laugh, but read on before you do. How did this current wave of Left Wing Fundamentalism begin, you might ask? Simple, it began with upper and upper middles class bored suburban white children.

In the 60’s it was young white upper class kids who were able to avoid the draft by being sent to college. For most people this was a luxury they could not afford, but for LWF’s it was a must. Today it is much the same. Just look at who goes to protest all these WTO meeting. They are too god damn lazy to hold down jobs, and most are in school, so who flips the bill for their lives of ‘socialy aware activism’? Mommy and daddy of course.

Desperate for attention, they rebelled against everything they were. With no real hardships and living a comfortable life they needed some defining struggle in their otherwise uneventful lives. No great wars or great depressions, just a great yearning need to feel like a part of something.
Either through social isolation or sheer boredom, these people rebel from society in the most spectacular way they can think of. I do not think that many truly believe in what they are doing, but far too often they become so involved that it consumes them.

A pity really.

But that’s my ¢2.

Why the Left Hates the war and loves the Terrorist

OK, that may be an exaggeration, many died in the wool liberals have come out in support of what we are doing. Salman Rushdie, for one, comes to mind. But I guess circumstances like this one really separate the chaff from the wheat.

It was pretty obvious that when these leftists first saw the images of the World Trade Center, symbol of multinational capitalism, collapsing into a smoldering sandwich of concrete dust, broken steel, and mangled human bodies, they cheered. They high-fived one another and saluted one another with Marxist clenched fists like the one Jesse Jackson raised next to Castro in Havana as he shouted "Long live Fidel, Long live Che!"

And when they saw the pentagon struck, oh boy, they just about had an all out unified orgasm. Like the U of New Mexico prof who told his students that “anyone who bombs the pentagon has my support”.

In their Orwellian world, war is peace, killing capitalists is "justice," and creating a new international "court" of Muslims who would fear assassination if they convicted Osama bin Laden is "our only ethical course of action." This is what is meant by hijacking the dictionary.

Among the Leftist groups blaming the West for such terrorism are those calling themselves "Libertarian Socialists," thereby hoping to seduce morons with this oxymoron. Libertarians favor economic liberty, free markets, and voluntary exchange without government interference. Socialists favor economic slavery, with the means of "production" controlled and owned by the government. To call oneself a "Libertarian Socialist," therefore, makes as much social sense as being a Jewish Nazi; the terms are contradictory.

It has been educational for Americans to see today’s college professors who venture beyond the ivy walls of their intellectual prison camps to profess on the Fox News Channel and other open news programs. Almost without exception, what Americans have seen in such brief exposures is an academic who is smug and self-satisfied, and who is accustomed to bullying and talking down to anyone who dares disagree with his America-is-always-wrong cant. Such scholars become huffy and almost openly threatening when questioned by a Bill O’Reilly or other interviewer. They view themselves as an intellectual superior of the common man like myself (although I would love to see Chomsky or any of these intellectual wannabes differentiate Stokes for 3D compressible flow), and seem almost insulted that the rabble could question them.

But if common sense and America’s survival are what these campus Leftists are against, what are they for?
They are for protecting the Islamic fundamentalist, fascist theocratic dictatorships that imposes themselves at gunpoint on the people of the mid east.

Now they most likely hate the specifics of the Islamic fundies and Al’Queda, but what they absolutely love is its distinctly anti West, and especially its anti American tone. They equate the US with patriarchal capitalism. And much like the Realpolitik that they railed so much against, an enemy of the US is a friend of theirs.

Ask a Leftist about the history of England foisting opium onto the Chinese a century or more ago, and you will be told that this was among history’s great atrocities – that it ravaged and enslaved China and caused untold suffering. Ask that same Leftist about the Taliban right dumping their storehouses of opium onto global black markets to raise quick cash, and you will be told that evil America and evil Israel are to blame. In the black-white Manichean cosmology of the Left, whoever opposes and attacks America and Israel is presumed to be the good guy until shown otherwise.

The Leftist Professors of terrorism promoting hatred for America on today’s college campuses, however, are doing more than defending and encouraging the enemies of Western libertarian civilization.

Those professing, justifying, or rationalizing terrorism against America – and bullying and brainwashing students into complicity or acquiescence with their "peace" rallies – are also destroying our universities as surely as if they crashed fuel-laden airliners into them. They are turning what were supposed to be bastions of free thought, open discussion, and diversity into Gulags of goose-stepping conformity and mind control. Some campuses, as during the Gulf War a decade ago, are even being turned into little foreign countries where no American flag may be flown or patriotic decoration shown. It is almost as if our universities have been turned into little Marxist theocratic Taliban run Afghanistans.

But what I want to know is how these assholes came to run our most important institutions?
